•Community Organizing: Creating relationships with congregations, connecting young people and professionals with similar interests and goals, building new or enhancing existing youth programming •Engagement: Developing creative outreach mechanisms and innovative programs to attract and engage the largest possible contingent of teens to regional and national programs, ensuring increased membership and exceptional retention at NFTY regional events and engaged in Jewish high school programming •Development: Received and managed a $25,000 Breakthrough Grant from the Chicago Jewish Federation to run a weekend-long pluralistic leadership training institute for high schoolers and parallel professional development for youth workers from NFTY, BBYO, JSC, NCSY, and USY •Mentorship: Planning and executing six NFTY regional youth events in partnership with the teen Regional Board, including development and review of all regional programming to ensure high quality educational and personal growth experiences in line with the mission and vision of the Union for Reform Judaism•Program Growth: Developed a free, weekend-long camp experience for underprivileged children led by NFTY high schoolers and community members; secured $18,000 in donations to support the program•Education: Creating and implementing a year-long arc of professional learning for youth workers•Innovation: Selected as a visionary participant in a pluralistic think tank with the goal of developing a successful, sustainable end-to-end lifecycle for Chicago’s Jewish community
