SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:I served as a qualified Helicopter Crewmember on Angeles Helitack 531 where I worked alongside a Bell 205 A++ on numerous wildland incidents. Qualifications included a night vision class and routine night operation drills to be approved through home unit. Angeles Helitack 531 specializes in night flying operations, which is the only resource offering that service in the US Forest Service. ENGINE CREWMEMBER DISTINCTIONS:~Initiated the nightly “go/no go’ flight plan for routes, alternatives, and destinations, which determines safe flying weather conditions.~Produced the daily helicopter crew manifest that reflects the allowed weight of crew and equipment on incidents.~Prepared and maintained the daily log as well as conducted “6 minutes for safety” and “safecom” for the beginning of the shift briefing.OPERATIONAL COMPETENCIES:~Operated manual-drive wildland Helicopter crew-haul and tinder as a qualified government vehicle operator.~While on night shift, I was designated in seat 8 with duties of maintaining VHF radio channels for helicopter manager.~Briefed personnel on all aspects of safety of flying and ushering them in and out of helicopter, marshaled H531, and made the load’s manifest for each flight.~Performed night operations in assembling a hose lay to a fixed water source, such as a fire hydrant and backfilling H531 when inbound.LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE:~Assigned as Cargo unit Manager at helibases on incidents comprising a role where I ordered supplies; produced and shipped cargo loads; kept track of receipts; and demobilized H531 crew.~Acted as Aircraft Base Radio Operator where I logged operational hours of incoming and outgoing aircrafts and kept a log of events on incidents.~Assigned to water “dipping” sites for type I and II helicopters on incidents where I directed aircrafts, logged their tail numbers, and the number of dips made.~Directed water drops from type II helicopters, while in remote areas on fire incidents.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:I served as a reliable member to the induction of Engine 8263 of The Nevada Zone Refuge. Experiencing the initial setup of a fire management team gave me a strong knowledge in the components needed to run a wildland fire module. I made it my responsibility to assist in setting up purchases, contacting dispatch and various departments within Fish & Wildlife Service. My responsibilities also included “Check-ins” and De-Mobilizations on fires by receiving reported information and ensured it to be adequate, reliable, verifiable, and useful to supervisor and crew.ENGINE CREWMEMBER DISTINCTIONS:~As keeper of the crew manifest, I was active in keeping agenda of the management team on schedule through setting reminders and relaying all information through chain of command.~Reported to media of fire incident and upheld professionalism with clear and concise informative dialogue.~Gained adequate skills to the level of faller 2 and administered in personnel and cargo load during helitack transit.OPERATIONAL COMPETENCIES:~Operated manual-drive wildland fire engine to multiple incidents across state line as well as staffed the hydraulic water pump during several fire incidents.~Performed successful problem solving skills on and off fire line regarding strategies and tactics; wildland fire engine and equipment; and in situations of no supervision within a timely manner.~Conducted regular maintenance and repairs on equipment, such as: fire engines, pump assembly, tractors, mowers, chain saws, and hand tools.LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE:~Functioned as an Incident Commander on four type-5 fire incidents and directing and informing a crew with plan of action and duties.~Took an active lead as well as designated lookout in prescribed burning, fire break preparation and wildfire suppression activities.~Lead the Mop-up operations on several fires by directing the crew to grid in the burned area ten to fifty feet from fire line for hotspots.

Searched out and extinguished hotspots by removing dirt. I carried out daily maintenance and upkeep, as well as, reserved records as accurately and up-to-date for a type-4 engine with the standards of the station.
