About Logan Burrows
Quick-learning member of the IITC group at UW-Madison’s School of Medicine and Public Health. Through my work at UW-Madison, I have developed a broad range of skills that allow me to deliver desirable outcomes in many different subspecialties of IT work. My expertise spans user, network, virtual machine, and computer administration; computer imaging; application bundling, customization, and management; how to build and manage relationships with vendors; hardware repair; and how to implement/manage workstations in a healthcare environment. I am a critical thinker, problem solver, and team player who is passionate about leveraging technology to support the medical community. I have a proven track record of customer satisfaction with the services I provide to meet their needs and work to exceed their expectations. I am highly adaptable and able to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining an eye for detail and quality. At the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) and Edgewood College, I learned how to manage a full-time job while also being a full-time student. My Associate Information Process Consultant role with SVM and Desktop Support role with Edgewood College gave me a base level of knowledge in many subspecialties of the IT field, including user and network administration; computer support and hardware repair; virtual machine creation and support; academia-, research-, finance-, and healthcare-oriented software support; building vendor relationships; and ordering/inventorying procedures for equipment. These services were provided to the staff, faculty, students, researchers, and hospital employees of the two schools’ departments. Both my academic and working careers have increased my attention to details and made me very self-motivated as a worker. At the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), I was given the opportunity to greatly expand my skillset and further develop expertise in the subspecialties of the IT field that I learned at Edgewood and SVM. I expanded my skillset to include creating and managing an image server with Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11 operating systems; navigating HIPAA-compliance with software and technology support; building and managing relationships with other IT companies; and imaging macOS and iOS computers. Working closely with other IT departments within the school and other IT companies that offer human healthcare-specific applications and equipment has increased my ability to work with a wide variance of personalities and challenges.
