Instructional Paraprofessional
Current- Accommodate special education students in regular education classes, including attending class with student and providing student supports as needed and or indicated on IEP.- Aid students in the completion of classroom activities assigned by the Intervention Specialist or classroom teacher.- Assists the Intervention Specialist in routine classroom and school activities, implementation of IEP services, behavior plans, student assessment, playground and lunch duty.- Assists in the preparation of classroom materials, displays, and individual student accommodations and modifications.- Assists Intervention Specialist in maintaining a good learning environment, including classroom management.- Assists students with personal health care needs such as toileting, personal hygiene and use of adaptive equipment.- Participates in professional growth activities.- Ensures the safety of students.- Establishes and maintains cooperative professional relationships.- Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.- Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible,intelligent human beings.- Understands the legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in, and practice of, ethicalprinciples and democratic values.- Maintains confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times.- Pull groups of students and lead small group instruction
