I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from Iowa State University in May of 2023. I've spent a lot of time in a laboratory setting learning how to take field samples, do an analysis of them in the lab, and write a technical report about the results. I’ve also been a peer mentor where I learned how to work with others effectively and efficiently. I became certified to perform suspended solids testing and learned how to test for total solids, chlorine concentration, and more. I'm currently working in an environmental engineering lab at Iowa State while pursuing a master of science in civil engineering with an emphasis on water quality. My research is on the potential uses of 3D bioprinting to treat wastewater using biofilms. My coursework entails environmental microbiology, environmental biotechnology, experimental design, and environmental flows.
