I am a key contributor to the content for The DevOps Certificate Program with LSU's Online & Continuing Education Program. The content covers many patterns and behaviors that future technologists need to learn in order to understand and use DevOps effectively in their roles and for their organizations.I also am a member of the instruction and facilitation team that helps learners move through the program while they learn and are assessed for readiness to receive their certificate.

As a DevOps Implementation Engineer with VersionOne I'm responsible for gaining understanding of client engineering practices, analyzing them, providing baseline assessments and implementation plans for incremental improvement. This analysis and writing then turns into configuration for our own solution to be used with the prospect or customer to help visualize their Value Stream, measure it (to see if it matches their own assessments), and provide data and metrics for decisions to make incremental improvements and investments.This is an exciting time to be in a place where organizations are just starting to realize the benefit of systems thinking, and looking at their software development process as one that spans "concept to cash". This includes configuring the automation of continuous integration builds with Jenkins and static code analysis with Sonar for our code base. The projects that our team works on are both .NET and Java source code.For the Java code bases, I am responsible for integrating our Style Guide (with the help of CheckStyle) and our Best Practices Guide (with the help of PMD and FindBugs) into daily development activities in the Eclipse IDE. I assist with the documentation that is required to run these tools, the Style Guide and the Best Practices Guide.For the C# .NET code bases, I am responsible for integrating our Style Guide (with the help of StyleCop) and our Best Practices Guide (with the help of FxCop) into daily development activities in the Visual Studio IDE. As a .NET Developer at Family Dollar Stores Inc. I am responsible for using Microsoft's .NET framework to design and implement solutions that make our business Better, Faster, and Cheaper.In partcular, I work on the business's distributed applications that encompass Windows Mobile applications talking to Web Services and passing data and information back and forth for store employees to use in their everyday duties.

At T-Metrics I had two primary responsibilities:1) Research, Design, Implement (write code), and Test T-Metrics software.I am also studying for the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist exams to gain certification and knowledge in using Visual Studio to code applications in VB and C# .NET.2) Support all T-Metrics products to include our Operator Consoles, TM-2000 ACD (Automated Call Distribution system), and COAS (Consolidated Operator Answering Service). This includes providing both phone and email support to problems and questions related to the above products.

I assist Dr. Shankar Banik in researching a solution to what is known as the "floor control" problem. The floor control problem concerns who or what entity will get control of a collaborative network or application, say in a video conference who is talking at the present time or who controls the conversation. There are two solutions to the problem which are known as ALOHA and DQDB, both require coded solutions, which I have written in the C programming language.

Worked with the Q&A team to verify that software changes successfully resolved issues.Worked with the Operational Support Team that fixed backend data issues as well as verifying any code related issues that needed to be passed along to developers.

Worked as an office assistant, making stock trades and also doing data entry for customers' accounts. I also did research on certain companies that customers had invested in to see why the company was doing good or bad, and why Montis and Exley needed to keep the stocks or sell them.
