As an intern at Tangent, I was tasked with developing improvements to an existing IoT platform. I focused on creating a network optimizer for mesh networks that acts as a dashboard for clients to manage their deployments. The network optimizer features Mapbox visualizations and is designed to allow for easy customization of deployed mesh networks. I enjoyed the opportunity to work on a challenging project and contribute to the development of Tangent's IoT platform.

During my time at Tangent as an intern, I designed and implemented a full stack web application to improve project manager workflow and provide clients with a more detailed view of their project progress. I used the Laravel framework and connected the application to the LiquidPlanner API. The application and its associated databases were hosted on AWS. I enjoyed the opportunity to work on a real-world project and learn new technologies, such as Laravel and AWS.

As an intern at Tangent, I had the opportunity to develop a full-stack web application from scratch. I used ASP.NET Core and MSSQL to build the application, which was designed to generate project proposals and quality management documents. Additionally, I used VBA in Excel to create a monthly budget tracking sheet. I enjoyed the opportunity to work on a challenging project and gain experience with a variety of tools and technologies.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I had the had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Yong Gao to develop improvements to an existing API. The API was designed to enable students to create AI agents for an in-class competition, and our improvements included implementing a server-side game-playing agent using the Monte Carlo tree search algorithm. This server-side agent allowed students to easily test their own AI agents against it, providing them with valuable insights and opportunities for improvement. My work on this project helped to enhance the quality of life for students participating in the competition, and I am proud of the impact it had.

During my time at Global Pet Foods Cochrane, I had the opportunity to work in a team environment, advising customers on the best products for their animals and merchandising products to create appealing displays. I was also responsible for processing sale and return transactions through the POS system.
