While interning at AQUALIS, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in water resource management. Being a Client Success Intern has allowed me to have a hand in multiple teams within the organization. I began my time with AQUALIS by conducting stormwater utility fee credit research for numerous clients across the continental United States. This research further provided stormwater utility fee savings for our clients and created revenue opportunities for the AQUALIS Organization. I later transitioned into composing completion documents for repair jobs completed by AQUALIS teams. I learned what forms of operational repair and maintenance are needed to maintain water management systems. Currently, I assist Aqualis Estimating and Sales teams by developing preventative maintenance proposals for potential and existing clients. I have acquired skills such as reading grading/drainage plans and learning how to pinpoint stormwater control measures on a given project while completing these tasks.

As a Stormwater Intern working for the Department of Environmental Health and Safety at North Carolina State University, my responsibilities included both field and office work. I performed stormwater assessments for the majority of academic, residential, and administrative buildings on campus by visually inspecting site assets and deficiencies. Other tasks included research on local regulations for stormwater quality, erosion, and sedimentation control. This information was utilized for NC State’s unique stormwater program.

My summer internship with Division 8 of the North Carolina Department of Transportation included supervision of road construction projects in Randolph, Montgomery, and Lee counties. Responsibilities included reporting project progress, tracking asphalt deposits, and site visits with engineering technicians. I assisted the Division 8 survey party with plotting grade points for future projects and researched erosion and sedimentation protocols.
