To be candid, I am an exfelon who spent 33 year as a "Slave of the State" (as defined by the U.S. Supreme Court) in Texas' Penal Slavery System. Since Texas pays absolutely NOTHING to those they confine as Penal Slaves (neither salary nor any form of Benifits/Social Security), I persued such formal education and self-study as was possible; and, immersed myself in obtaining as comprehensive a collection of vocational skills as the TDCJ-CID Slave labour force had to offer ... which is vast.I therefore procured a wide range of vocational skills in addition to a treasure of achedemic knowledge during my 33 years as a Penal Slave in the antiquated Texas Prison System.Having completely Discharged my prison sentence on May 7 2016, I am now a Registered Voter and own/operate a small 'Handyman'/General Contractor business: Freedom Contracting Services in Burnet, Texas, which began operations in Mid-january 2016, and continues to grow. While FCS has struggled at times and has much growing to do, Net Profits over the past 6.5 months has been just over $23,000.00 ... which I consider to be excellent for a 61 year old exfelon after only 15 months freedom from confinement!Freedom isn't as common as some Americans believe, and Slavery is far from dead in America ... but not all who are 'prisoners' and/or 'Slaves' are confined in Texas prisons; we all have something which confines us and makes us its slaves. It's just one's perspective that makes one truly free.
