I worked as a Preconstruction Manager leading nearly 20 projects and helping expand Amazon's Sub-Same Day Fulfillment Center network by over 2.5 million square feet. I developed budgets and schedules as well as hiring architects, engineers, GCs, and other consultants. I led each project from initial site due diligence through construction start.In addition, I led the development of the first ever SSD-FC Design Template and Design Criteria. This set of design standards documents memorialized three years of design decisions and lessons learned and created the first clear direction for SSD-FC design.

During the Summer of 2019, I worked as an engineer intern for the Façade Engineering practice at Thornton Tomasetti. This position required me to review submittals, design and analyze small scale structural systems, perform finite element analysis on glass panels, research and summarize product information, collaborate with Architects, and participate in site visits with Architects. Out of the tasks listed above, submittal review was where I spent most of my time. I reviewed bespoke detail drawings as well as product specific detail drawings to ensure the system would meet the requirements of a façade, as well as the requirements of the client. Frequently, calculations accompanied these drawings, which I would also review. I participated in many site visits where I had the opportunity to see first-hand the systems we were designing, as well as learn more about the collaboration process with Architects. I left Thornton Tomasetti in August 2019 to continue my graduate degree that Fall.

As an intern at Wilder Belshaw, I had the opportunity to work in several phases of the architectural design process. I picked up red lines, created construction documents from scratch, drafted wall and stair sections, modeled in SketchUp, visited job sites and observed field reports, sat in during client meetings, completed site studies, drafted conceptual elevations, and more. I also independently diagnosed and fixed issues with the company's 3D printer and then developed printing processes to deliver physical unit models for clients. I left Wilder Belshaw to begin the MARCH program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

At Pact Design Studio I supported licensed architects working on several projects requiring AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp. I prepared graphic presentations and had the opportunity to work on the initial schematic design phase for a handful of projects. I worked largely with construction documents and site plans, while also modeling concepts as large as building massing to as small as office space installations. PACT Design Studio focuses largely on residential design, townhouse design, apartments and condominiums, office spaces, and restaurants. I earned IDP hours in three different categories during my time here.

During my first year at Texas A&M, I worked as a student anatomy lab assistant. My duties included cleaning of laboratory spaces, microscope slide organization, and specimen handling.

My primary role as an Island Ambassador was a tour guide and being the “face of the university”. During my time here, I developed strong presentation skills through campus tours and preparation of marketing materials. I received the highest honor of Ambassador of the Year, awarded to the most well-reviewed ambassador on the team.

As a Recreation Aide, I helped set up and teardown major city events including Concert by the Lake, Founder's Day, and Rib Rub. I was also a baseball coach for children ages 3-5. This put me in a role model position that required I teach more than just sports, but also good sportsmanship, moral, and confidence.
