On a high level my role is in taking source-conformed data to business-conformed analytics. This process starts at the end by first building out a desired question needing an answer from management (in Metabase), then working it backwards through the various checkpoints (staging, intermediate, marts) in DBT. Our approach is to create a negative feedback loop on greenhouse gas emissions, using “carrot and stick” financial incentives.
