I have lead the design and documentation of two adaptive reuse projects from SD through Substantial Completion. I managed and responded to RFIs and submittals and solely represented the firm during OAC and other client-facing engagements. Coordination with A/E and owner consultants and application for permits with Cincinnati and Tampa AHJ were my sole responsibility as well.

I played an active role in the design of multiple projects in Japan and the US. As a member of a roughly ten-person typology studio, we worked diligently both in-person and online during the start of the pandemic to deliver Pelli-level design quality and client engagement despite the circumstances. I participated in coordination and design meetings with our partners in Japan and was responsible for meeting project deadlines in their time zone. I worked closely with our studio principal, in-firm mentors, and team leaders who guided me, critiqued my design decisions, and asked for my design input regularly.

I worked one-on-one with students in need of software or laser cutter assistance. This included model optimization for laser workflows as well as troubleshooting unexpected cut outcomes. I cleaned and maintained the laser cutters and ensured proper safety protocols were being followed during their operation.

I was responsible for a wide range of tasks for ongoing projects in the office. I gained experience with Sketchup, Revit, and Lumion and joined client meetings to hear their concerns firsthand.

I assisted my region’s Habitat with office tasks and with their move to a new facility. I learned about the inner workings of a non-profit organization; assisted the executive and financial directors with marketing tasks; and provided help with a small design-build project for their in-house resale store.
