Within 4 weeks of my internship, Insight Global made me the offer to come back in the Spring after I had graduated.

Landscaper (Seasonal)S May 2018 - Aug 2018Over the past summer, I started my own Landscaping business. I had several clients from previous summers to jump start my business with, and the connections began to grow once word got around about how hard my team and I worked.I ran a crew of seven employees and we did work all across North Western Ohio. The work ranged from leveling backyards, mulching, planting and tree cutting. All of our clients were extremely pleased with the quality of work we provided for them and were more than happy to give referrals to future customers.This was my first experience at being my own boss and I truly enjoyed all the skills I learned. Cold calling, bidding, effective customer communication and satisfaction were all important aspects of the job that led to building our clientele base.

Host/Bus BoyBrown Derby Road House Jan 2017 - May 2018The Brown Derby Roadhouse provided numerous opportunities for myself. This was one of the first long term jobs I had in high school and with it I was able to build on my professional and personal skills. I began as a bus boy, cleaning tables and running plates to and from the grill. After about a month, I was promoted to Host. Now my duties involved prepping the front of house for customers, arranging menus and taking care of reservations. There is no feeling quite like looking at a full dining room and waiting room and knowing that the happiness of the customers initially rides on how quickly and efficiently you attend to themI held both positions for the duration of my stay at the Roadhouse and my level of responsibility grew as a result of my hard work. I began training new employees, overseeing the dining room functionality and helping the managers in any way that I could.
