During my time as a freshman at Stanislaus State University, my brother and I identified an emerging partnership between the City of Turlock and the university. Recognizing an opportunity to strengthen ties between local businesses and students, we developed a business plan to enhance community support for students through strategic collaboration between downtown business owners and the university.In 2016, as a junior, we were honored with the Turlock Mayoral Public Policy Award and secured a government grant to bring our vision to life through a mobile application—Student+. Our app connects students with local businesses, offering exclusive discounts and information on community events, helping students better integrate into the community while driving foot traffic to local establishments.Key Achievements:Developed a fully responsive mobile app using JavaScript, available on both the App Store and Google Play.Grew a user base of over 500 active users, creating meaningful engagement between students and the local business community.Successfully partnered with downtown vendors to provide exclusive discounts for students, supporting both students and local businesses.Led marketing efforts by collaborating with university administrators to promote Student+ across 7 departments.Designed and managed web interfaces for participating vendors to optimize their presence within the app.Through this venture, I combined my technical skills in app development with a passion for community-building, creating a platform that continues to support the connection between students and the city of Turlock.

I worked at Applebees neighborhood Bar & Grill for 2 years while in college. I started as a Host and was then promoted to Server at month 4. Here I developed many skills in hospitality and customer service. Working closely with the GM, I came up with strategies to bring in customers to our family nights and late night activities. I commonly worked Saturday Nights and Sunday mornings to serve our Football fans. I commonly worked longer shifts and added to the welfare of the brand and company.
