My career journey began in public policy, where I served as a policy analyst in the Texas governor's office. However, my passion for creativity and community led me to pivot into fine dining, working primarily in the Austin area. As I learned how to cook, I also learned the power of hospitality to transform spaces and bring people together.Returning to my hometown in 2022, I longed for the vibrancy and community of a thriving hospitality scene. That experience inspired me to pursue a Master of Management in Hospitality, with a minor in real estate, at Cornell's Nolan School of Hotel Administration (expected graduation: December 2025). I plan to build a career in hospitality real estate development or asset management, where I can merge my background in government, hospitality operations, and business to create properties that succeed financially and enrich the communities they serve. My long-term vision is to develop boutique hotels and innovative food & beverage concepts, with a particular passion for adaptive reuse and historic preservation.
