I wrote my first line of code in 10th grade. I don't remember what it did, or really even the assignment, but I remember it being the first time in my academic career that I was truly delighted to be in school. Every afternoon for the next two years, I would linger around the classroom, seeing the projects and skills that my classmates were developing. I would sit down and take competitive Java tests with my friends for fun. We wanted to know absolutely everything, regardless of our complete lack of experience. I have kept that attitude with me throughout my life. I love collaboration, leadership, and building things that I would be happy to use.
