I am currently a University Instructor at Western Washington University, where I teach Computer Science courses such as Introduction to Python Programming, Formal Languages and Functional Programming, Fundamentals in Data Science, Analysis of Algorithms, and Data Structures. Previously, I served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Hutchinson Machine Learning Research Group. There, I applied deep learning techniques to various research projects, including audio event localization, stellar parameter modeling, and analyzing chemistry education assessments. My work in astronomy has been presented at the 2023 SDSS-V Collaboration Meeting.My educational background includes a Master of Computer Science, a Secondary Education Teaching Certification, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Social Studies with an emphasis in Political Science, all from Western Washington University.In addition to my academic and teaching experience, I have a robust skill set in programming (Python, Java, JavaScript, C, C++), web development (HTML, CSS, React), and various machine learning libraries (PyTorch, Numpy, Pandas, Sklearn, MatPlotLib).
