I am a member of the Robot Electronics team, where we are actively developing new electrical systems for the Attabotics Attabot. As owner of Power Systems Architecture, I oversee the allocation of work related to all power systems within our project, from robot to structure. My technical focus has been on the power electronics used within the robot as well as defining our electronics design process and standards.

From the Advanced Control and Intelligent Systems laboratory at UBC Okanagan, I worked to further the field of self-supervised convolutional neural network-based optical flow estimation methods. Such research can then be applied to a contactless length measurement system for forestry harvester heads.This work involved:- Designing robust data collection hardware capable of withstanding the harsh environment within the processor equipment- Analyzing video data to determine factors contributing to potential challenges in optical flow estimation- Developing a CNN-based algorithm capable of being trained with potentially both unlabeled and labeled data that can dynamically adjust training parameters dependent on what factors are present in application data- Producing a computer application to implement the optical flow algorithm that can fully utilize the parallel-processing abilities of a Jetson TX2i SoM.

At Axis Forestry, I work within a team of experts designing a modern control system for forestry processing equipment. My responsibilities include:- Design of electrical systems using schematic capture software- Development of printed circuit boards using EDA software suites with tight, demanding physical constraints- Modeling of mechanical enclosures using MCAD programs such as Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360- Programming of firmware in C and C++- Development of user interfaces using JavaScript- Oversight of electrical hardware projects

Working as an instructor, I was able to introduce students aged 7 to 14 to a variety of fields of study, including engineering, chemistry, and biology. Primarily, I was focused on the creation of a "Tech Camp", where students learned of electrical engineering and programming, through the use of different devices such as microcontrollers.
