I am a graduate student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Brigham Young University pursuing a doctoral degree. My primary work concerns the characterization of full-scale, installed tactical jet noise, as well as source characterization and modeling of launch vehicle (rocket) noise. I am also interested in signal processing and use various signal processing techniques to better understand acoustic source characteristics and propagation effects. I've been involved in various research projects, working in collaborative and self-directed environments. I have applied new methods and technologies to better understand rocket and jet noise, worked with other agencies to orchestrate measurements of aircraft-generated sonic booms and multiple rocket launches, and led R&D efforts for developing new acoustic measurement methods.
