Made decisions about system architecture, team priorities, as well as technologies to be used.  Oversaw 238 data pipelines that transfer Real Estate data from various Multiple Listing Services (MLS) into an internal MySQL database on a 15-minute schedule. Transformed and normalized the data coming from the MLS into a usable format for the Website to display. Formatted data to match specific requirements to be sent to various Syndication outlets such as Zillow, Realtor.com, and the New York Times. Diligently worked with other Department Leads, Team Members, Project Managers, and Account Managers to ensure priorities are aligned and all requirements are fully understood.  Worked to reduce a growing ticket backlog from 250+ to 0 within 9 months. Allowing the team to pick up bug tickets in real time as well as improve the delivery time for new development projects. Migrated all repeating scheduled tasks from GNU Batch/CRON to Airflow. Allowing for an increase in job reliability, improved completion times, as well as improved error handling and monitoring. Implementing Airflow saw a reduction in repeat bug tickets related to scheduled jobs by 75%. Implemented a plan to migrate multiple codebases from Python 2.7 to Python 3.6 with minimal client interruptions. Performed database query optimization for all teams. Provided mentorship and training on how to improve query performance in the future. Created new keys and indexes where necessary. Handled table creation and data migration for large projects. Implemented Fuzzy matching on addresses to determine if the correct address is returned from the Google Geolocation API. Implementation saw a 32% increase in matched locations with trivial false positives.  Hosted multiple training programs.  U.S. Patent granted as the sole developer of a new tool, which allows for help-text generation to be set dynamically during runtime. Implementation resulted in a reduced delivery time of new help-text from months to just seconds. Developed a code base analysis tool using Python based on the concept program “Code Maat” to dynamically determine high risk areas in the code base and tie those in to recently completed JIRA tasks and stories. Developed programs using Python and Pandas to analyze and manipulate data in extremely large XML responses from an Oracle Database to provide information to the business to help drive revenue and improve system performance. Developed automated test cases using Selenium WebDriver to deliver high quality and functional programs to end users. Developed automated Chat Bots to aide users in performing day-to-day tasks and speed up menial tasks. Project team lead and IT representative for new product design and development in a Conceptwave-Javascript framework. Developed a new hire-training program with included instruction materials, daily assignments, as well as a project designed to quickly onboard new hires with all required technical training to be successful within the organization. Team lead with the goal to develop and automate Performance Benchmarking.
