- Overcame the difficult problem of III-V photocathode degradation by introducing 2D layer MoS2 protective coating to achieve 50+ hours of solar hydrogen production
- Designed a framework to understand III-V degradation by Raman spectroscopyDevelopment of improved methods for testing catalysts for electrochemical ammonia generation (2022-present)
- Created a successful method to assess nitrogen reduction catalysts, surpassing previous methods in detection limit and resistance to false positives
- Assembled and led a diverse, cross-disciplinary research team to submit a $600k grant proposal, which won the NREL Postdoctoral Researcher Proposal AwardCatalyst development for electrochemical ammonia generation.
- Achieved optimized catalytic activity of vanadium oxysulfide for electrochemical ammonia production through sulfur vacancy engineering
