As a communicator, I love connecting with people. Every conversation always unveils new insights on a character, situation and concept. And every conversation always opens doors to a new opportunity or relationship that could transform your destiny forever. For nearly 20 years, I have witnessed first-hand, as a practitioner, the evolving nature of communications and how it has shaped the policies and branding of private and public organisations.As a journalist with Retail Asia, I developed stories to bring meaning and value to brands so that they connect effectively with their desired customers. As a civil servant, I have learnt to communicate to the public with empathy and uphold the law with integrity at the same time. As a business owner of a content marketing company, I have helped SMEs conceptualise and script their brand stories to bring out the most beautiful moments of their brand voice that speak to the hearts of their potential customers. And now as a marketing lead with PIF Capital, I am proactively supporting the management and my team in elevating the company's branding and mission to build A+ companies and develop capital entrepreneurs. All these years, I am thankful for my connections with Toastmasters. It has given me the courage to express my convictions, a dynamic framework that improved my speaking skills, and the opportunities to cultivate my leadership skills as a Club President, Division U Public Relations Manager, and District Public Relations Manager. And now my new milestone as Club President of Human Impact Toastmasters, is to build and cultivate a speaking platform for passionate advocates of sustainability issues, so that we can support one another in one voice to speak for a sustainable future.
