CurrentResponsibilities of the dean of the college involve leading a capable and innovative group of 140 faculty and staff and administering a budget of $12 million. The college launched a new DBA program and offers four master's degrees and fourteen undergraduate majors. The business student enrollment is 4000 students on a campus of 12,000. Relations with alumni and the business community are important aspects of the dean's work as is ongoing maintenance of AACSB accreditation.

Responsibility for promotion of the college lies with me and my colleague, Jolene Check. I also work on projects related to university-wide assessment. For two years as our Dean, Christine Clements, held the position of Interim Provost for the campus, I served in her place as Interim Dean. During the time I was in this position, our college successfully completed a re-accreditation visit for AACSB and moved into our new business school building, Hyland Hall. I was responsible for managing a budget of over $10 million, assisting in the hiring and review of faculty, and other duties associated with managing a college of over 100 professionals.
