Development Officer Grants And Donor StewardshipIndianapolis Children'S Choir Feb 2018 - Jun 2020Indianapolis, Indiana AreaAssisted Executive Director, Director of Corporate and Community Engagement and the Director of Advancement with events and donor relations; conducted prospect research; submitted grant proposals and reports; maintained donor database, entered gifts and created thank you letters. Assisted Executive Director with Board relations. Accomplishments: Challenged the Development Committee and Board of Directors to research the acquisition or donation of a cargo van to replace the ICC's 20+ year old van that was in significant disrepair.Result: In approximately 6 months from the launch date, a board member and corporate constituent came forward and presented the ICC with a gently-used cargo van. This significant in-kind donation will make a huge impact on our ability to transport equipment for performances and provide a safe vehicle for the production manager to fulfill his duties.Accomplishment: I recommended a local foundation as a prospect; contact was made with the organization; a meeting was scheduled; an inquiry was made; and as a result, in less than two weeks we received word that we would be receiving a five figure gift.
