Responsible for vision, strategy and full P&L for Brenntag Biosector – a commercial vaccine adjuvant company. To execute these responsibilities, I lead a diverse team who managed each of the functional areas in the company.Biosector is a life sciences company which manufactures and sells high quality adjuvants, not just for today’s vaccines, but also for the vaccines of tomorrow as well as for research in experimental immunology. Every year about 2,5 bio. vaccine dosages are produced globally with adjuvants from Brenntag Biosector. Customers are located in 45 countries.The development work is focused on applying the technology to help vaccinologists facilitating rational vaccine design.The products are also used by collectors of human plasma in the fractionation process.

Led the development of the Nordic Brenntag distribution activities of - starting materials for pharmaceuticals and natural medicines, - ingredients for cosmetics and - sales and manufacturing of disinfectants for hospital use. Established a laboratory for cosmetics applications, and a distribution center working according to GMP. Head of Vaccine Adjuvant activities since 2005. Brenntag became market leader in each of these business areas.

Development of European strategy for the Brenntag pharma business; advised and monitored the European country organisations in implementing the strategy.Formed a Pan European group of specialists in the business of pharmaceutical starting materials; Shaped the group as a team with common targets and, coordinated the pharma business in Brenntag Europe.Facilitated the development of Good Trade and Distribution Practices at Brenntag sites across EuropeIdentified acquisition targets.Responsible for revenue growth.

Together with the committee members, I developed and formulated the position of chemical distributors on issues of common relevance related to food, pharma, cosmetics and feed activities.I took active part in the policy-making process on these issues in Europe through the EU, and globally through WHO.We initiated and implemented industry training and education on how to meet future regulatory challenges.
