Lola Banjo is a dynamic, motivated and energetic business leader.She founded Silver & Riley in late 2019 as a mission to realize her deep passion for travel and create a new market of attainable functional and stylish luxury travel and fashion accessories. The vision of the brand was inspired by her travels and her identity as a global citizen. Having lived in four countries and traveled to over 100, she has immersed herself in various cultures and ways of life– all which serve as inspiration for Silver & Riley’s DNA. She uses this cultural tapestry as a reference point for Silver & Riley, coupled with her corporate background which lends itself to her business know-how.Lola is heavily involved in her community and has committed herself to building up those around her. Her involvement extends to serving on boards with diverse missions, including supporting under-served youth through technology education and championing corporate diversity and inclusion efforts. Through Silver & Riley, Lola is unwaveringly committed to making a positive impact while creating a legacy that endures– a vision that she has realized through creating the Buy 1, Give 5: Empowering Women initiative, meant to close the opportunity gap for underrepresented women entrepreneurs.She holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering w/ minors in Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science from Rutgers University, a M.S. in Financial Engineering and a Grad Certificate in Risk Management from New York University (NYU), and a MBA in Strategy, Finance and Decision Sciences from Emory University. She has also studied at top business schools around the world including FGV-Rio (Brazil), WHU-Koblenz (Germany), the London School of Economics and RSM-Erasmus (Netherlands).
