About Dr. Lola Gershfeld

As an organizational psychologist and the developer of the Emotional Connection process or EmC, I help companies master the skill of relationships so they can spend less time managing “people problems” and more time accomplishing their most important work. I specialize in conflict resolution, team and board dynamics, and organizational culture. Using research-based methods and tools, I help leaders to create positive and lasting change in their teams and organizations.I am the founder of EmC Leaders, a company that offers leadership and team training to drive performance, improve culture, and increase productivity. I have written two books, “Emotional Connection” and “The Connected Culture,” and three online courses that provide a clear roadmap to building and nurturing workplace relationships, addressing workplace conflicts, and creating positive workplace cultures. My passion is to empower leaders and teams to thrive in stressful situations and achieve great results.

The book provides a clear roadmap to building and nurturing workplace relationships, addressing workplace conflicts, and creating positive workplace cultures. It challenge conventional wisdom on three fronts:1. Emotion-based disconnections and not the content drive conflicts, disengagement, and workplace maladies. Consequently, addressing emotions as a valid presence in the workplace allows for building robust relationships.2. Emotional safety is fundamentally built on a solid emotional connection between team members. It shows you how to do it, nurture it, and create a thriving mindset.3. Leadership is rooted in emotional connection to a greater degree than management science and cognitive initiatives. The book helps the reader build emotionally-based relationships to create stronger bonds with the people they lead and, furthermore, to help every person become the leader they are capable of becoming.
