Now in existence for over 20 years, The Lomas Brown, Jr. Foundation continues to strive to expand its youth programs and offerings within Michigan and beyond. I’m proud to share that, since 1993, The LBJF was formed and began a mission to engage kids from ages 5-19 years-old in a ‘mindset of success.’ For more than two decades, throughout Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties, we’ve successfully developed and organized after-school and weekend youth programs that stress:- academics- use of technology- development of healthy life skills and nutritional habits- encourage participation in physical fitness, sports and recreation- provide career workshops… all while fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion.Since its founding, the LBJF has built a legacy around its brand, ‘Mirror Image … It Begins With You,’ a motto that is the cornerstone of his commitment to help children become better student athletes and well rounded individuals.The LJBF helps students through L.E.A.P. (learn, earn and play) Camp, an after-school enrichment education and activities program. L.E.A.P. Camps assist with academic attainment levels, 21st Century Life-Skills, and Fitness and Nutrition. I am the Chief Business Development and Diversity Officer for Team 84 LLC, a certified MBE holding company owned and operated by my friend and former teammate, Herman Moore. Former NFL star offensive tackle and seven-time Pro Bowl participant Lomas Brown joined ESPN in 2004 and primarily appears on ESPN2’s weekday morning show, First Take, SportsCenter, ESPNEWS, and Sports Nation during the football season. Since retiring, Brown has appeared on the NFL network, ESPN programming and hosted the Lions post-game show "The 5th Quarter" and currently doing Sports Final Edition on WDIV-Channel 4.
