About Franco Lombardo

I am a senior drug hunter whose broad expertise ranges from pharmaceutics, physicochemical properties of drugs, such as logP, logD, pKa and solubility, to ADME and DMPK project support, as well as library design. I have led and contributed to several projects in the Oncology, Infectious Diseases and Ophthalmology disease areas. Several of these projects and generated candidates in the clinical setting. I have extensive DMPK project work with supervisory experience, have been a mentor to several scientists at Ph.D. and non-Ph.D. level and I have collaborated extensively with many high level scientists across my career. I have co-written, or contributed to, relevant sections of investigator's brochures (IB) as well as relevant sections of the Common Technical Document (CTD) for IND and NDA submission as well as internal nomination documents, leading to development and clinical studies.I am known for leading successful scientific initiatives as well as leadership and mentorship across several organizations, with a solid publication record in peer-reviewed journals, as well as many invited presentations at universities and industrial conferences.I am very experienced in physicochemical, ADME and PK model building and published extensively in the field. I have also experience in data mining and curation, and statistical models. Furthermore, I have a strong foundation and expertise in physicochemical properties such as logP, logD, pKa and solubility, and drug design.I am attentive to details, possess a "can do" attitude and have participated to the formation of consortia across the industry as well as having experience in due diligence collaborations, forming relationships and contacts very quickly. I also have CRO experience and some due diligence and consortia agreements. Strategic aspects of projects and research and development tool, planning and budgetary aspects are also part of my responsibilities.
