Leoch Battery Corporation is a leading global manufacturer of lead-acid batteries, listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.As a Chief Accountant of 3 subsidiaries in Vietnam, I report to Regional CFO who's based in Head Office in China, taking charge of the herewith responsibilities:• Organizing and supervising the operations of the accounting functions within the company.• Taking responsibility for transactions with related stakeholders and governmental agencies (customs, tax, social departments).• Analyzing General Ledger as well as journal entry reconciliations.• Planning Financial Management and managing the cash flow, payments, and banking functions.• Preparing annual budgets and maintaining updated forecasts to have a healthy cash cycle for the company.• Holding a series of training courses to improve employees’ skills and knowledge.• Coordinating with the State Bank for all issues arising from foreign loans.• Performing other duties as assigned.Achievement:• Liaising with Customs, Tax, and other stakeholders to get a refund of incorrect VAT invoices amounting to USD $1 million and saving lots of penalties.• Building a cost accounting, and controlling costs between local accounting software and SAP.

• Providing management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality audit and assurance service.• Planning and performing the audit of the financial statements prepared in accordance with VAS, IFRS, and US GAAP and auditing internal control system (SOX).• Reviewing forecast asset balances, profit & loss statements, cash flows, and recommending improvement. • Performing in-depth analysis and risk assessment of finance-related matters to highlight extraordinary items.• Coordinating with experts as well as other divisions (tax experts, valuation experts, IT team).• Preparing budget cost, audit plan with milestones, and arrange team members.• Delegating, monitoring, and reviewing tasks of all team members to meet the timeline.Main portfolio:• Electronic components manufacturers.• Textile and garment manufacturers.• Agriculture.Achievement:• Pioneering in designing and executing audit procedures for IFRS16 – Lease when it came into effect.• Pioneering in designing and executing audit procedures for IAS 41, and IFRS 13 for biological inventories and assets (poultries, swine).
