• Supervised and monitored adolescents referred by the juvenile court system by providing mentoring, home visits, curfew checks, and UA testing.

• Assisted children and families with building skills in the following areas: anger management,communication, conflict resolution, coping, problem solving, relationship building, social, and self-esteem enhancement.

• Served as an AmeriCorps Reading Corps member during the pilot year of Iowa Reading Corps.• Worked one-on-one with 15 elementary students through interventions to boost their reading capabilities up to grade level.
