Paul started LOOMIS in 1984 and built it through the early years by writing music for radio and television, as well as brand tracks for clients such as RadioShack, Pepsi, Texaco, Lincoln-Mercury, Frito-Lay, ABC Television, Universal Studios, and many others.A Grammy-nominated composer and musician, Paul worked as an apprentice to the National Jazz Ensemble in New York City and studied under the internationally famous jazz arranger and composer Gil Evans. He received two jazz fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas music program where he was part of the part-time faculty and wrote music for the legendary One O'clock Lab Band.Paul is perhaps best known as the writer/producer of Vanilla Ice's first album "To The Extreme," which went to number one on the Billboard Charts and sold more than 11 million copies. In addition, Paul has worked with artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Whitney Houston, and Dionne Warwick, among many notables.His early success helped him build a multimillion dollar, state-of-the-art recording complex called Luminous Sound Studios, and Paul has used this facility to capitalize on another of his unique skills — commercial jingle writing and composing.
