I am a first-generation scholar currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Management and a minor in Legal Studies at Lake Forest College, expecting to graduate in Spring 2026. My academic journey reflects my passion for both business and law, and I am committed to exploring how these fields intersect to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and create meaningful change.Currently, I intern at the Lake County Public Defender's Office, where I support attorneys by conducting case research, analyzing evidence, and assisting with client advocacy. My contributions have included organizing and synthesizing case data, streamlining workflows for greater efficiency, and helping ensure equitable legal representation for underserved individuals. In this role, I have gained firsthand insight into the intricacies of the legal system, strengthening my critical thinking, research, and communication skills.In addition to my legal experience, I bring leadership and organizational skills from my role as a team lead at a women’s retail store, where I manage a team, coordinate tasks, and deliver excellent customer service. My efforts contributed to a 15% improvement in team productivity and consistently high customer satisfaction ratings.Growing up on the southwest side of Chicago, I witnessed the impact of systemic inequities on marginalized communities.
