1- carry out all professional surveying duties to the standard expected by the company. These include assisting the QS team (under the supervision of the senior in charge) in the preparation of feasibility and cost planning exercises, tender documentation (bills of quantities & front end documents), contract documentation, interim valuations, variations, cost reports, final accounts, contractual claims, etc., and where required by such work.2-Measurement of works by the various international standards such as NRM / POMI / CESMM4.3-assist the estimating team, when applicable, in maintaining an up-to-date in-house cost data record.4-assist in preparing the tender analysis and report.5-maintain an efficient administration system to ensure the continuity of work should the surveyor be absent.6- keep the Senior Quantity Surveyor or Director appraised of all relevant details of the project work in hand.7- ensure that all work is completed on time and to the professional standard expected by the company.8- anticipate problems relative to the surveyor’s quantity surveying duties and report to the senior quantity surveyor or director with possible solutions.9-flag any issues that might affect the projects or any tasks to the attention of the senior quantity surveyor or director for immediate action.10-maintain a high level of ethical standards and awareness in line with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Protocol and the company by-laws.11-understand the implications of health and safety regulations.12-attend any relevant internal or external training courses.13-keep up to date with the new statutory requirements and new technical developments in quantity surveying techniques relevant to the construction industry.14-comply with all relevant laws & regulations about anti-corruption and bribery.15-ensure the confidentiality of company information is upheld.

1. Construction works supervision- Doing all the work of calculating the required quantities- Monitoring workers and Ensuring compliance with public safety rules- Provide expert opinion/advice for the Project Managers about issues for construction works.- Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of the Project plans and strategies in order to ensure delivery according to the scope budget, and time.- Ensure that documentation on site are kept according to the valid law for planning and construction (daily logs, quantity books, approvals, tests, attest documentation).- Ensure provides daily reports about the activities .- Ensure respect for Health and Safety procedures on the site and notify the Supervisor of any irregularities immediately after.2. Quality Assurance- Daily lectures for workers on the importance of adhering to working safety rules and how to act in the event of any risk- Supervised the quality of the construction materials and collected attest documentation.- Verify and contribute to technical specifications of products, apparatus, services and associated quality material- During the Defect Notification Period (DNP), intervene as required and liaise with the contractor to fix in a timely manner any issues that arise and are covered by the defect notification period.3. Monitoring and progress controlsProvide UNOPS with photographs (before, ongoing, and after) and reports including lessons learned.Review and contribute to the Contractor’s Quality Health and safety, social, and environmental plans and ensure its compliance.Ensure on-site works are provided in accordance with all Health and Safety, Social and Environmental requirements, norms . - Hold site coordination meetings with the contractors, technical supervisors, and other stakeholders as necessary and provide minutes of meetings for construction-related meetings.
