About Lora Bishop, M.A.

I love work. But, as Blink-182 once said, "Work sucks, I know". As a first-generation student, I grew up with a strong belief that I wanted to be a psychologist so I could help people. While pursuing psychology at the University of South Florida, I was lucky enough to learn that the best way that I could use my career to help people was by making organizations better for workers. My purpose is to use my creativity, open-mindedness, and analytical skills to develop/provide the tools and/or programming that workers can use to become their best selves at work. I value authenticity, growth, and well-being, and those values are my north star in my career. I want to build a conversation and a legacy while advocating for #neuroqueer workers and my social media serves as a place for me to find community, share transparently, and support others in their careers.I've had many opportunities to use my knowledge and skills to conduct research on topics close to my heart, such as DEI (e.g., LGBT+ student leaders, Deaf/HOH workers) and occupational health (e.g., burnout, ostracism & incivility). I've also been able to leverage my research expertise in multiple internships and contract work to use my project management skills and ability to draw data-driven insights to address organizational challenges and enhance workplace environments. While I've been able to call both Tampa and Chicago "home", I'm currently enjoying life back at home in Minnesota! I'm looking forward to starting as a Research Manager at the Korn Ferry Institute in June 2025.You can contact me about podcasts, webinars, writing, volunteering, and freelance opportunities at lorambishop@gmail.com
