Leads a global engineering group in the development of new components used by product development groups globally at Delphi E&S Auotomotive. Lead the activities associated with SOC (Substance of Concern) for Delphi E&S, including the conversion of all components to lead free in support of changing global requirements. Actively involved in the management of changes to our components and in the analysis of risk associated with supplier changes. Manage groups in several locations globally that support development and production activities in all Delphi E&S locations.

As Validation Engineering Manager at Delphi E&S managed Validation Labs and the employees within these labs. Responsibilities Included managing the labs to meet customer requirements for ontime product validations and responding to crisis validation requirements, while at the same time meeting the budget requirements of the organization. Personally managed labs at four different locations and was the global leader for labs for Delphi E&S in Europe, Asia, and North America. Major accomplishments during this time includeded A2LA lab accreditation for the labs under my responsibility, instituted lean engineering to reduce cycle time of variable test activities, improved documentation of required tests. Managed the Validation Engineers for Delphi E&S, provided leadership regarding test requirements identification, problem resolutions, customer communication. Interacted with and provided input to various other Engineering competencies regarding product quality and reliability assessments.

Lead the product and test enigneers for the SmartPower Integrated Circuits development group. Major roles included understanding and meeting customer program timing requirements, addressing quality issues, root cause analysis and problem resolution.

Responsible for managing the timing of the development of multiple IC (Integrated Circuits) projects, communication of progress to required customer timing, resolution of program issues, and escalation of project roadblocks. Worked with cross-functional teams to manage these projects in order to meet critical customer timing. Excellent team member and leader.

Provided key interface between direct ignition product design engineers, maufacturing engineers, production, and customer on the developement of multiple programs running concurrently.

Provided production floor support for standard ignition modules. Including analysis of production and quality test rejects. Provided guidance to both manufacturing and quality engineers on the issues associated with the introduction of direct ignition at Delphi. Lead the analysis of new products as designs were completed. Developed lab test systems to test critical parameters. Supported the build of customer samples by providing initial test of key parameters and adjustment of those parameters during initial prototype builds. Developed critical understanding of hybrid ceramic technology and support to manufacturing areas during this development. Analysis of semiconductor components, packaging technology and failure analysis techniques. Key interface with our customer and OEM customer. Assisted in training of groups that were unfamilar with semiconductor and hybrid assembly.
