Tacoma Report is a local news program that delves into the happenings in Tacoma’s community and highlights the services and programs offered by the City of Tacoma and its partners. As a member of the TV Tacoma family, I am one of the co-anchors for Tacoma Report. My duties as co-anchor include reading and reviewing news scripts for upcoming tapings, and participate in taping of the news show which is broadcast on various days and times throughout the week, on Channel 12 and Youtube.

Assist the public by responding to inquiries via phone, mail and in person regarding judicial procedures, court appearances, trial dates, outstanding warrants, summonses, subpoenas as well as financial obligations. Process a variety of technical legal documents, such as complaints, motions, orders, and subpoenas. Assemble and organize files and records for court proceedings. Review defendant’s needs for alcohol/drug assessment and recommended treatment and provide information on how and where defendants may access services. Document/process monthly alcohol and drug treatment reports; serve as in-court clerk for in-custody calendars, review, sentencing and violation calendars. Prepare court dockets and calendars for criminal, traffic and in custody cases, record case dispositions, court orders, and arrangements made for payment of court fees. Prepare and issue orders of the court, including probation orders, release documentation, sentencing information, and summonses, prepare documents recording the outcomes of court proceedings, instruct parties about timing of court appearances, process payments received on court cases. Processing Notice of Appearances from Attorneys, scheduling hearings, interpreters, responding to Judicial inquiries in a timely manner. Coordination with Prosecuting Attorney in responding to requests for discovery. Organizing information, maintaining data base records, entering, searching for, retrieving, editing, and deleting data, using word processing and basic spreadsheet software to accomplish daily tasks, and reviewing complex legal and court related documents for accuracy, inputting data utilizing the Court’s District and Municipal Court Information System (DISCIS) the Superior Court Management Information System (SCOMIS) and the Judicial Information System (JIS), Judicial Access Browser System (JABS) and Secure Access Washington (SAW) system.
