𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝗦𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.𝘈 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘳...In the first grade, I was caught red handed...reading under my desk during math time. I can’t help myself when it comes to a good story and the chance to immerse myself into the world of make believe. The signs were there: it was soon revealed that I was left handed. And, math was (and still is) a bore to me. Could I perhaps be…a right brained creative?In the weeks after, the school principal presented me with a “reader of the year” award. Turns out, when you nurture a kids' strengths…they really thrive. In my 6 year old little world, I also developed a childhood stutter. After being the target of childhood bullying, I would find ways to express myself that was different than the other kids.While speech therapy helped me heal the stutter, reading and writing became a means for creative self expression.As soon as I graduated from high school in the PCNW, I left for college in Long Beach, CA to pursue a degree in graphic design. I graduated at 19 and worked for a few years in the graphic design industry until the 2008 recession. My career path took an interesting turn at this point: 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨! I found a love for creating processes and systems around cleaning, which led me to start my own cleaning business.Design is an integral part of my life. My experience evolved and grew in tandem with my business. Pivot after pivot (between a rebrand and an industry switch: from services to products), I come with a unique set of skills in business AND design. In launching a retail product, I designed all packaging for my products. Additionally, I do content management + strategy for all social media channels at The Tidy People (35k+ community and growing), video editing, graphic design, copywriting, email list growth strategy, blogging, and more.As of the spring of 2024, I am putting my business into the side hustle category to create a stable financial foundation for myself during this time of transition in my business, pivoting from a service based business to a retail brand. We are a bootstrapped company and are in slow growth.I am in search of a part to full time job that can utilize my design or content management experience.
