I am an Accountant Manager for BMO focussing on the Agri industry.

As an Environmental Monitoring Assistant for the City of Ottawa (2015), I took part in many Water and Environmental Protection Program (WEPP) projects, including; monitoring presently used and future development of City-run snow dumps, by conducting ground water sampling, benthos collection and surface water chemistry collection. Another project included the Sawmill Creek monitoring program to assess current status of the storm-water subwatershed by utilizing equipment like the Sontek IQ continuous flow measurement device, surface water level elevation surveys using a laser level, and water chemistry collection. The Goulbourn Wetland Project used equipment like the laser level to determine geodetic water elevation and an Acoustic Doppler velocimeter to determine groundwater discharge into the Gouldbourn Wetland. I took part in a bathymetry study on the Ottawa River using a River Surveyor to determine topography of the river floor for a future effluent pipe construction going in under the Parliament Buildings. I utilized many computer programs like Aquarius, LIMS, ArcGIS and Microsoft Office.

During the summer of 2014, I was a Fisheries Assistant for the City of Ottawa, working on the Baseline Biological Program, completing baseline assessments on streams within the city’s greenbelt under the Water and Environment Protection Program. Daily tasks included conducting site IDs, channel morphology, hydrometric velocity measurements. Utilizing equipment like the YSI, flow meter/ river surveyor, seine nets, electro-fishing backpack, HOBO data loggers, and Van Dorn samplers. The data is then entered into programs like Flowing Water Information System (FWIS), HABProg, HOBOware, LIMS Labware, ArcGIS and Microsoft Office. Lab work included benthic macro invertebrate taxonomy.
