After completing 2 years of Computer Science at Dublin Institute of Technology, I was one of twenty students across Ireland who joined SAP as a Vocational Training intern. During this time I worked with SAP for the final 2 years of my Computer Science course while gaining experience in different roles within the company as listed below.

As part of my 7 month work placement module during my 3rd year of my undergraduate course I joined the development team for SAP's Business Intelligence and data visualization product, Lumira. On this team I gained valuable experience in many roles. These included:- QA Automation Engineer:My tasks as a QA involved reactivating and writing new test scripts for features in the SAP Lumira product. As a result, I became proficient with the technologies that were used by the Lumira team to perform automation tests such as, UFT, VBScript, Jenkins, Calabash and Cucumber (Calabash and Cucumber used for mobile testing).- Advanced Dashboard Creation:In this role, my tasks were to create multiple unique dashboards using the Lumira application. Became familiar with the features of Lumira and also the inbuilt scripting language, BIAL (Business Intelligence Action Language).- Software Development:Spent 2 months in this role where I was assigned bug fixing tasks. Technologies used during this time included Java, JavaScript, Eclipse, Git and Gerrit.

During this time, I worked with the HANA Database team within SAP Product Support. In this role I investigated and resolved customer queries by analysing symptoms and system trace files. As part of this team I also took part in Product Support training which I received the following certifications:- SAPTEC: Technology Fundamentals for SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Suite- C_HANATEC_11 SAP Certified Technology Associate (HA100, HA200, HA250)- Knowledge Management Engineer Training (KBAs, WIKI, SAP Answers)- Working Instructions in Product Support (WIPS) Certification

Summer job I acquired after completing my first year in Computer Science to help fund my education. Here, I was responsible for bulk orders made by schools which entailed contacting schools, couriers, and other stores to organise delivery dates, stock checks, etc.

Re-acquired my previous position here after completing my Leaving Certificate. My roles here remained the same as they did during my previous stint while working here, however I additionally engaged in handling incoming deliveries where I added items to the warehouse and updated the stock management system.

Worked here during my fifth year in secondary school as a part time job. My tasks here involved locating items with the store warehouse and presenting them to customers and assisting customers when they enquire about product information.
