My current research is in the development of microneedle array large volume transdermal drug delivery devices for peptide and gene therapy applications.I received my PhD in mechanical and precision manufacturing engineering from UCD, where I also received my BE in mechanical engineering. My research focused on improving the precision micro-milling process for machining difficult-to-machine materials, such as hard and wear resistant materials commonly used in the biomedical industry, for both mould and orthopaedic implant manufacturing.
