Managed the day-to-day operations of recruiting, licensing and training (RLT) while maintaining a balanced budget. By developing a Access database for tracking recruitment activies I was able to created and implemented the RLT marketing/recruiting plan. This allowed my team to target their marketing efforts to potential foster parents. As part of my licensing duties I monitored the completion of psychosocial assessments on prospective foster/adoptive parents which lead to a increase of foster homes. By executing the department’s internal auditing process, we were able to have successful external audits. I researched, developed and established policies/procedures and training outlets for current and new product lines. Myself and my team continued to developed and maintained relationships with public/private agencies, funders, and those who supported the department’s mission.

While working with The Mentor Network (Ohio Mentor) I recruited, licensed and trained potential and current foster parents. By completing psychosocial assessments on those wishing to become foster parents I was able to analyze their appropriateness in becoming licensed. I actively met or exceeded Agency’s goal of licensing new foster homes while, maintaining compliance with Agency’s policies, State rules and other accreditations. Before I became a licensing specialist I was a CPST Case Manger and worked with therapeutic foster youth (caseload 15-20). I enjoyed advocating on behalf of the foster youths within the school and court systems. While taking into consideration the foster youths wishes together we developed their individualized service plans to address their mental health/behavior issues. I was then able to provide oversight, training, and education to the youths and their foster parents.

Provided services to 10-15 severely mentally ill, dual diagnosed, homeless adult clients. I served as a link between clients, social service agencies and court systems. Assisted clients in obtaining their entitlements: housing, social security disability, medical insurance or drug/alcohol treatment. I enjoyed developing and co-facilitate a women’s issues group while working at the Norma Herr shelter.
