While working as a nurse and midwife and later as an officer in the Green Office of Ghent University, it became obvious to me that issues in our society and communities require in depth thought, analysis and eventually an investigative journalistic approach for myself and the wider public.Since the law is one of the mediators for societal adaptation or change, further studies in communication sciences/journalism and global law provide me with the ability to work toward the expression of issues and the processes involved in change. Not only in my immediate environment but where themes affect us all, i.e. climate, environment, migration and health.
