I have been a Cost Controller for over 12 years; however, I have over 14 years of combined experience in Project Controls and accounting. I was responsible for Cost Control which included project initiation, budget tracking, trending of costs and scope change management processing. I worked closely with Project Managers providing internal/external reporting information, monthly accruals, estimate to complete analysis and maintaining ongoing communication in regard to project status. I have been responsible for numerous projects varying in size, covering Project Managers in Ontario, Saskatchewan and the United Kingdom over the years. I was also in charge of numerous accounting functions, such as Work in Process (WIP), project invoicing, scope changes and accounts receivable. Some of my greatest strengths as a Cost Controller are being diligent, being very detailed oriented, and maintaining consistent communication and follow up with Project Managers, project team members and accounting staff.

I started working at Tetra Tech (formerly Wardrop Engineering) in April 2006 as an Administrative Assistant - Accounting. I was promoted to Cost Controller in February 2008 as listed above. In this role, I was responsible for accounting functions such as accounts payable, purchase orders and expenses. Even in this position, I had worked with Project Managers reviewing Works in Process for their projects, verifying bill rates and invoicing details for project billings.
