I am a knowledgeable, accomplished software developer who loves to collaborate with skilled professionals and write quality software that enriches the lives others. I have exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a passion for leadership, and I thrive under pressure. I genuinely love programming and am proficient with front-end and back-end web development, several programming languages and technologies like C# and Java, and both SQL and no-SQL databases such as Firebase and MongoDB. Please see my GitHub above for more information and projects.I have been fascinated by computers for as long as I can remember - one of my earliest memories is of my father showing me how to use a mouse before I could even help myself onto the stool.For almost 20 years now I have honed my skills with computers through installing/removing programs, navigating file systems, word processing, and learning about how the Internet works. I knew I wanted to become a programmer for the first time in 2008, when I taught myself how to make my own MySpace profile layout with HTML. I was enchanted by code and still am to this day.During my stay at the University of South Alabama I learned the fundamental theories and practices behind engineering software using object oriented languages. I learned how to design classes and use UML and emphasized the role of security in coding at every turn. I began taking graduate classes as part of a special program offered by the school and collaborated in research on security. I authored a paper on secure coding with Agile methodology with two of my fellow students in 2014.My passions include video games, guitar, exercise and cooking, and I cannot help but think about how software systems affect and enhance each of them, and virtually everything else in this life. It is an exciting time to be alive and I feel my journey is just beginning.
