I'm deeply passionate about empowering individuals and organisations to bring meaningful change in our community.I joined the Manchester China Institute in 2022 to contribute to its mission of enhancing mutual understanding between China and the UK. As MCI's Engagement & External Relations Officer, I’m leading 4 key areas:📝 Planning, promoting, and delivering weekly research seminars and multidisciplinary workshops about China, guided by senior academics.🎓 Coordinating the Manchester-China Friendship Programme (MCFP) that fosters cultural integration between over 150 British and Chinese students from the University of Manchester.📸 Co-organising the UK-China Photo Competition with hundreds of annual submissions and curating its bilingual exhibition that advances cross-cultural dialogue through visual storytelling.🌐 Managing the public image of the Institute by overseeing its website, social media, and correspondence, ensuring a cohesive and engaging presence for the Institute.My commitment to working in the academic sector stems from obtaining a first-class degree in Politics & Sociology from the University of Manchester. During my studies, I've developed a strong socio-political awareness of contemporary global issues through deep dives into scholarly debates and conducting mixed-method research.
