About Lorelei Pisha

My professional career and many of my personal pursuits are fueled by a deep passion for fostering high-quality environments and interactions for infants, toddlers, and young children with or at-risk for disabilities or special needs. My work for Georgetown University and The George Washington University demonstrates my belief that thoughtful preparation of educators and leadership for early intervention and early childhood special education systems leads to improved outcomes for infants, young children, and their families. Finally, my work related to professional learning stems from a commitment to helping current providers reflect upon and change their practices so that all children have the opportunity to thrive in high-quality environments and within supportive, responsive interactions.
