As an adjunct instruct for a variety of early childhood special education practitioner and leadership courses, my responsibilities included a) developed instructional content, b) designing and implementing evidence-based practices for facilitating adult learning, c) creating responsive, self-assessment feedback loops, d) providing constructive feedback, and e) mentoring students beyond the classroom.

My responsibilities included a) recruiting and providing ongoing support to cohorts of LEEAD's advanced-graduate students, b) collaboratively developing and implementing a data-driven evaluation plan, c) reporting progress towards project and program goals to OSEP/DoE, d) disseminating project research and materials via national conference presentations and e-materials, e) developing leadership curriculum and instructional content, f) supporting adjunct instructors, and g) mentoring project graduates.LEEAD culminated on December 31, 2017 with 31 graduates passionate about transforming leadership in programs supporting young children with special needs.

During this time, I worked as the project director for two federally funded master's level training projects - INNOVATION and Project ITAP. Both of these projects were funded by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to prepare personnel to provide early intervention and early childhood special education services to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and their families.For Project ITAP, I created, facilitated, and evaluated Reflective Practice Groups, which are a model of communities of practice (CoPs) that were first developed by Dr. Karin H. Spencer for Project ITAP. I also managed all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including recruitment, student support, curriculum development, project evaluation, and dissemination. I then wrote the final report for this project.I was the lead author for INNOVATION, a funded $1.2 million OSEP training grant proposal. I kicked this project off with our collaborators at GW and OSEP. I then wrote the LEEAD grant and transitioned to that grant when funded in late 2011.
