As a founding partner of GESLabs, I've been involved in developing innovative extraction, refining and isolation technologies in Southern Africa. This includes the design, manufacture and on-site testing of cryogenic ethanol extraction, wiped film distillation and cannabinoid isolation through solvent supersaturation crystallisation. My main role at GESLabs was to value-add the extracted ingredients into delivery mechanisms for cosmetics, nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. I am currently working for Cannaray as a consultant. My role includes:- Preparing technical dossiers for the FSA Novel Food application;- Mapping out the competitive landscape in Germany and the UK.- Project managing the process of moving supply from the USA to the UK in the near future.- Managing areas in the supply chain; focused on the process from contract manufacturing to distribution.- Ensuring products are safe and suited for the market during the product development phase (by approving ingredients and ensuring stability studies are performed);- Product quality control during manufacturing and leading product release to market;- Performing quality audits on new manufacturers.

During my 6 month contract at Goodleaf, I was responsible for the production and management of their CBD vape products. This role included the following: 1) process design of the formulation, filling and capping process2) implementing quality control and stability testing protocols3) developing the actual products and running stability 4) Optimising the process to a semi-automated process
