• Aligned scholarship, teaching, and service to honor the Muscogee Nation and other Indigenouscaretakers of the land, following Emory University's Land Acknowledgment mandate.• Supported the Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative by developing place-based courseson Native American History, integrating materials and methods from Native American andIndigenous Studies.• Provided logistical support for NAISI programs and events, including researching histories ofMuscogee presence and knowledge-production on Emory's campuses.• Engaged in public-facing programs on Native American environmental history in present-dayAtlanta, contributing to community outreach and awareness.• Created new courses in Native American history, environmental history, and digital history .• Facilitated the junior/senior colloquium HIST-488: Reparative History at Emory, responding toaction items from the Task Force on Untold Stories and Disenfranchised Populations.• Assisted in launching NAISI's new website and maintained it as a hub for events, news, multimedia,academic courses, and programming.• Secured grant funding for NAIS programming and events.

I am a lecturer in the History Department, where I teach courses on the American Revolution, gender and justice, and the US history survey.

I completed a PhD in Early American history at UC Davis with a designated emphasis in Native American Studies. My dissertation combined ethnohistory, environmental history, and spatial history to narrate the evolution of the St. Lawrence watershed from a pre-contact Native American borderland into an international border between the modern nation-states of Canada and the United States. I explored the ways Native American communities leveraged indigenous knowledge of ancestral territory to maintain sovereignty and autonomy in colonized spaces. My scholarship grounds contemporary debates about Indigenous sovereignty and cross-border environmental stewardship in the founding narratives of the United States and Canada.

I worked as a teaching assistant for online sections of undergraduate level courses. In this capacity, I moderated and evaluated online discussion forums, graded midterm and final examinations, provided comprehensive feedback on student work, and assisted undergraduates to improve the quality of their historical writing. In the spring of 2013, I coordinated the 9th annual North Carolina Graduate Student History Conference and oversaw every aspect of conference planning and execution over a six month period. Following the event, I drafted a comprehensive program guide to aid my successors in that role.
