I'm Lorena Chambers, CEO of Chambers Lopez Strategies LLC -- the only Latina and one of only two women -- to have ever produced television broadcast commercials for a US Presidential campaign. In 2022, our team re-elected Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto to the US Senate. In 2020, we supported President Biden's win by working on-the-ground organizations to bring out the vote in battleground states including Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and Florida. In 2018, I was the media strategist for PowerPAC Georgia’s campaign in support of Stacey Abrams' run for Governor of Georgia, and for Senate Majority PAC’s campaign to elect Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto as Nevada's Senators. Currently, I'm also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan. As a top-tier political consultant, I worked with Priorities USA during 2012 and 2016 Presidential cycles, leading the CLS team in developing and producing award-winning television and radio advertisements. I've worked consistently to turn Virginia blue by driving the awakening of Virginia Hispanic voters: I'm a Founding Member of the Democratic Latinos of Virginia (DLOV) and a media consultant in the successful Gubernatorial races of Governors Northam, McAuliffe, Kaine, and Warner. I'm proud to have broken one glass ceiling by being one of John Kerry's media consultants. As a graduate of UCLA and the University of Michigan, I focused my graduate studies on the intersection of American history and feminist theory, focusing on the representation of Latinos in advertising and entertainment. I’ve taught in the Departments of History and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan, and in the Department of Chicano Studies at UC, Santa Barbara. Among media engagements, I've appeared as a political analyst on CNN en Español, Univision, Telemundo, Perspectiva Nacional, and Destination Casa Blanca with Ray Suarez. I sit on the Board of the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC).
